South Africa's power grid loses over $850M per year to unplanned outages. Maintenance is reactive — failures are found after they happen, not before.
WHAT WE'RE BUILDING
We're building GridWatch — an IoT monitoring platform that connects sensors across substations and transformer banks and runs anomaly detection on the telemetry stream. The goal is to flag degradation 48–72 hours before failure so engineers schedule maintenance, not emergency repairs.
